Dr. Colin Sutherland, LSHTM, UK, has deposited with the EMRR seven new culture-adapted Plasmodium falciparum lines from UK travellers. These are labelled HL1204 to HL1214 in the Plasmodium falciparum section of the reagents lists. All are polyclonal isolates of varying drug sensitivities, from five different African countries.
