Isolate collected in 1966 by I. Landau and colleagues from Thamnomys rutilans in Congo-Brazzaville. Passaged through mice, cryopreserved. Received Edinburgh from R. Killick-Kendrick, Imperial College London, 25.10.71. Passaged three additional times through mice.
